The Analects

The basic teachings of Confucianism relays in the importance of education for moral development of the individual so that the state can be governed by moral virtue rather than by the use of coercive laws. All the teachings came from Confucius, a man that believed in humans' heart, education and values beyond anything else.

In “The Analects” Confucius explains how morals and principles are the most important thing. It explains how in ancient times the education was a chosen value, now we live in a society that does not appreciate the education as a gift, as a right, but as an obligation. We do not study because we will win something, but because the society implies it or our parents force us to study. I admire a lot Chinese culture and I am sure that part of their greatness is because of Confucius teachings.

For example in Mulan, the Disney movie, you can see how Mulan risks her life for her father's sake.
