          We're a Band!

It is amazing how a song can be so short, but say that much. We are all called to play in Jesus’ band, but the song clearly says we have to be ready with the guitars in our hands. We cannot be tonguetied if is The Lord we are speaking for. Sometimes in life we forget the sacrifice God made for us, and we even forget the passion that Jesus willingly went through. I think that the song “We’re a band”, that is interpreted by the band Audioslave, goes beyond a classroom, beyond life itself.

Your guitar maybe your family, your school, your intelligence, or your leadership, so take your guitar with you and join Jesus’ band!

          The Analects

The basic teachings of Confucianism relays in the importance of education for moral development of the individual so that the state can be governed by moral virtue rather than by the use of coercive laws. All the teachings came from Confucius, a man that believed in humans' heart, education and values beyond anything else.

In “The Analects” Confucius explains how morals and principles are the most important thing. It explains how in ancient times the education was a chosen value, now we live in a society that does not appreciate the education as a gift, as a right, but as an obligation. We do not study because we will win something, but because the society implies it or our parents force us to study. I admire a lot Chinese culture and I am sure that part of their greatness is because of Confucius teachings.

For example in Mulan, the Disney movie, you can see how Mulan risks her life for her father's sake.

          Panchatantra

In life, we may meet with people that believe that strength is a priority. In this story we could see an example of how physical strength is nothing compared with intelligence. We think that if the lion would have used his strength to help the animals, the intelligence plus the strength would have been the best way to go.

We think that if animal by animal would have contributed with their best quality, including Numskull, they would have had a great home. This way is how we, as humans, can build a better world. If we would give to others the best we have and receive from others the best they have, instead of emphasizing in others faults, we would live in a happy and fair place.
